Workshop Topic: "AI TOOLS FOR RESEARCH INNOVATION"
Daniil Lisik is a medical doctor and software engineer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. After graduating medical school in 2021, he embarked on a PhD exploring the heterogeneity of respiratory diseases using machine learning approaches. In his daily work, he analyzes data from large population-based studies to derive clinically meaningful subgroups of asthma and related disorders, ultimately aiming to outline groups at risk of adverse outcomes and identify actionable risk factors for prevention and effective personalized treatment. Leveraging his software development background in the telecom industry spanning 8 years and counting, his work lies in the intersection of respiratory medicine, epidemiology, and the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence. He is passionate about open-sourcing technology to accelerate research and democratize participation in scientific discovery and validation. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences and believes anyone can make use of AI to increase their productivity and achieve new heights.
